Changing timing belt on '95 EJ18 - help with parts please?
I am looking on subaruparts.com, but I see two tensioners and some other things that don't totally make sense. I am buying the parts to have a shop do the work, but it won't save them much time if I get the wrong parts.. Gonna call them today, but can anyone tell me which tensioner I need - or do I need both? I am buying all the seals and o-rings because supposedly the car has never had a new timing belt (130k) and they are cheap. Makes sense to have them all available..
Here is the list.. Why are there two timing belts for the same price under the same part number? Odd.. So do I need bith tensioner and adjuster assemblies?
13028 $45.68 Belt-timing u1 Fits: 2W.EJ18E+MT.EJ18E+W.EJ18E+EJ22E
$45.68 Belt-timing 1800cc u0c0 & 2200cc Fits: EJ18E+EJ22E
13068 $78.61 Adjuster complete-belt tensioner Fits: EJ18E+EJ22E
13069 $94.36 Tensioner assembly-belt Fits: EJ18E+EJ22E
13091 $3.04 Sealing-tensioner no.2 Fits: EJ18E+EJ22E
$1.28 Sealing-tensioner no.1 Fits: EJ18E+EJ22E
G73205 $6.11 Oil seal Fits: EJ18E+EJ22E
G94603 $2.93 O ring Fits: EJ18E+EJ22E
H04504 $2.95 Plug Fits: EJ18E+EJ22E
Any help would be appreciated..
Thanks!

Well I have a picture and info for a RS01 it should be relatively the same since the motors timing belts are in the same location.

I think you only need the belt and the tensioner. It shouldnt be too hard to do the belt yourself, its just SOHC, and with our 1.8's its easy to get to that part of the car (lots of clearance)

I would jsut call them and tell them "I need to change my 1.8 liter timing belt. What do I need?" That's a lot easier than guessing at what parts to order.
