What types of things should i look for to be wrong? Most obvious, least obvious, most hidden problems......This is my first time buying a used car so i dont want to get screwed.

 

Find out how many people have actually owned the car, to get an idea of what it's already been through. Ask if the car was normally serviced, oil changes, tire rotations, etc. See if the timing belt has been replaced, since the car will probably have a good number of miles on it. Also look for any coolant leaks, you'll thank yourself later when you don't have a blown head gasket or toasted water pump. A carfax report is also a good idea.

 

I'd check the tire wear too, if they are really worn try to talk down the price based off of that.
