Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

Question Blitz Nur Spec mufflers... (semi-long)

Hi guys, was wondering what is the difference between the universal muffler and the axle back version of the Blitz Nur Spec in construction, sound and performance? (aside from the obvious extra piping on the axle back) (I also posted this in the other site, so either thread you can reply to) Also the rear section of the axle back goes from a 2.25 inch flange to approx. 3 inch inlet on the muffler itself, does this make any differences as opposed to getting a pipe that is 2.25 inches on both ends? The reason I am asking is that I am planning to hook up a Blitz to an APEXi N1 midpipe and would need to modify the axle back to connect the two, but if the universal is essentially the same as the axle back, then it would be cheaper to add the rear section on as a whole rather than cut and weld new flanges and extensions. But I think the universal is not the same, and maybe lesser in quality. Heck it may not even work on the Subie at all. The car I have is a MY00 RS coupe N/A (of course). Anyone out there with experience between the two mufflers and can help me on this? Thanks in advance.
