i have a 2002 wrx and my alternator failed twice, the first one is back in june 2009, i used a used sti alternator from a friend to fix it and that one failed too,a couple days ago, not even a year, what do you guys think? does my computer has to do with it? i have a TurboXS Utec piggy back, and my battery is brand new... pls help, thanks in advance

first of all... why use a used alternator? theres got to be a reason why your buddy took of the sti alternator in the first place... take both your alternators to kragens and get them tested.
