Are all Subaru starters like this?
My 2000 RS has a hard time cranking over when it's cold outside. At temperatures 30 Deg F and below, my car sounds like it's got a nearly dead battery when it tries to start. I realize cold weather affects battery performance and oil thickness but my car seems to suffer more than average. Is it just the nature of these cars or do I have a problem?

I think you probally have a problem. My car is usally gurage kept. But i have spent the night out a couple of times and i have never had a problem with it sounding or acting like it had a dead battery. I would get your battery checked out and see if it needs replacing.
