Air intake breathers
Has anyone used or is using those small intake air breathers?? I just installed 3 of them....i took out those aftermarket hoses that hook up to the intake tube. I plugged up those holes in the intake tube and stuck those breathers on the engine valves from where the hoses hooked up to.
My mechanic suggested this because those hoses just recirculate the unburned gases from the engine and those gases carry oil, and other stuff that will eventually clog up the throttle body, like it did to mine.
This isn't a performance mod...it's making the engine healthier!!
HAS ANYONE ELSE DONE THIS??

I havent done it but have a few questions. First of all what intake are you using? Second where did you purchase and how much were the breathers and how many did you need? Thanks for the help. Anybody else have any opinions on the effectiveness of breathers.

i'm using an old akimoto short ram intake converted into a cold air intake (custom). You'll need 3 breathers and they cost me like 30 bucks or so for all three!
I did this because i had to have the fuel induction service done at the dealership because my throttle body was filthy!! I don't know if there is any performance but it's healthier for the engine.
