got headers already but lost lowend.getting them hypercoated
to help,also gonna change my exhaust over to 2in instead of 2.25

You can use any exhaust for the RS, any year. You will just have to get somebody to reweld one hanger on differently. 2.25" piping gives you the fastest car. 2.5" loses too much torque, 2" is still kinda small, squeezes the high end a bit. Your best value is a custom catback with a Magnaflow or equivalent muffler. Shouldn't be more than $300 for a complete catback, installed.

Would I be wasting my money?
I have both the Cobb CAI and exhaust and really like em both. Got good gains and the exuast sounds mean but not so loud its annoyin to drive. Has s subtle tip so it doesn't look ricy or anything and i got pretty good gains from both, I think they might be a lil overpriced but was worth it in my opinion.

i went with cobb stage 1 for my 03 ts as well and have loved it so far. next up headers [finally released] and cams and the 2.5 will be screaming. the sound from stage 1 is great, all compliments so far, nice a low!
