Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

You can use any exhaust for the RS, any year. You will just have to get somebody to reweld one hanger on differently. 2.25" piping gives you the fastest car. 2.5" loses too much torque, 2" is still kinda small, squeezes the high end a bit. Your best value is a custom catback with a Magnaflow or equivalent muffler. Shouldn't be more than $300 for a complete catback, installed.

Why is it that Cobb Tuning charges over $500 then? Is that too much to spend do you think? I was thinking about getting their stage 1 kit which includes the catback and an intake for $835.

Would I be wasting my money?

I have both the Cobb CAI and exhaust and really like em both. Got good gains and the exuast sounds mean but not so loud its annoyin to drive. Has s subtle tip so it doesn't look ricy or anything and i got pretty good gains from both, I think they might be a lil overpriced but was worth it in my opinion.
