Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

2.5i N/A build

I saw a few posts about the older engines subaru used to use in the impreza but i wanted to know for like an 06-07 build what would be needed to approach the 200+whp (if at all possible)

i know they use equal length headers so that wouldn't be needed, and cobb makes cams...just trying to see what would be needed to build a straight N/A motor.

also what is needed to increase the redline on these motors, i've read places that people who have built NA motors talking about increasing the redline...just curious

yo whats up man...yur best bet is to ask yur questions in the 06 mods thread instead of startin a new thread...thats what the 06 mods thread basicly is anyways is all of us katz with the 2.5i talkin about what were wanna do and can do...but to answer yur question anyways, if u do the full exhaust, cams, intake, new ecu, pullies, and new pistons u could be at 200 wheel possibly...the thing u gotta remember is that with an awd u lose waayyy more hp to the wheels from the crankshaft that a fw or rw drive car. i think our cars are pushin less than 140 to the wheels. but new intake and exhaust will add between 10-20, cams and pistons should add over 20, pullies maybe 5, and ecu once u do all that should add at least 20 if not more if what they say is true about the pp6...so 200, maybe, maybe not but youll most definetly be close...hope that helps u a little...

one thing you have to remember about raising your red line, it doesn't add any power, it just stretches out the power band. You have to have an engine build that will support the higher Rev's, and then you need cams and an ecu to balance all the power you have to the right area's in the power curve
