Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

1999 Forester, EJ253, SOHC-Correct plug?

The owners manual calls for RC10YC4 Champion or BKR5E-11 NGK plug. When I go to manufacturer or vendors (including Subaru parts) websites or cross reference charts, I get NGK BKR6E-11 as the listed plug most of the time. Some sites indicate that I have a DOHC engine so this could be the difference. I would rather use the colder plug (NGK 6 than the 5 range). Are these plugs interchangeable for a daily driver-city and highway?
Thank you.
