Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

saw it at one time but cant find it again i think it is 180cc but i cant remember

I was hoping I was wrong but with 180cc injectors i think the 1.8 cant make more power than 130hp without going over 80% max injector duty cycle and that could explain why after having a header back exhaust, intake, chip and flywheel that the engine loses power after 4 to 4.5k rpms

Even if they work, changing injectors would cause more problems than they solve without some sort of fuel trimming.

af ratio guage and apexi super ACFII should help with larger injectors to correct for the higher flow

well i have been thinking about that too
because $500 for even used parts to get an unknown HP
but if you where to get cams or swap a 2.5 heads and short block then i would definetly do this

Rallysportz you have about the same setup as me except i have a 13lbs exedy flywheel

i would guess that it should give atleast 10 to 15 because when the ecu advances the timing i starting felling the problem and not before

The injectors you would look for would be like old 2.2 injectors, I think they may be higher CC like 220. The Legacy turbo injectors are 360 and bolt right in. WRX, RS, etc. wont fit the 1.8. Yes, an S-AFC will be able to compensate but only up to 2x the CC I believe... But I doubt you would get more power just by adding fuel, unless you are talking turbos.

well its just the fact that i think the 1.8 might be able to make more power than the injectors can put out safely if at all

i understand just adding more fuel is not going to give more power if the a\f ratio good but in the upper rpms it feels like it need more fuel

The 1.8 just has jack for a high end cause it doesnt flow worth beans.

yes after 5200rpms it stops pulling but at 4500rpms it should still have power unless then is something wrong with my car
