well I got a 2.2 out of a legacy MT and it is a 95 aswell but i dont know what month it was made but it has another 6 prong plug that my 1.8 does not have and my mothers 2.2 legacy would not run without this pluged in

this is the plug above the the 2 big plugs next to the bell housing
on the passenger side



so my question is this

was 95 a split year between body styles and engine types?

i also got the ecu with this 2.2 engine and the plugs are different too but will the 95 1.8 ecu run the 2.2?

 

Swap the ECU if you can, as long as transmission type is the same. Sorry I can't help you with the harness questions.

 

well if they gave me the right ecu for the engine than that might be impossible without changing entire wiring harness because the 1.8 has the 3 small plugs and the 2.2 has i guess 2 big ones with a toggle in the middle

thats if octagon gave me the right one....



but the trans is the same because it still has the clutch hanging off the flywheel so this is not a problem

 

just gave them a call

the tag says legacy but for the year i need a impreza(this explains the different harness and ecu)
