Engine/Power - non turbo (All non turbo Imprezas) Who needs a turbo when you have 2500cc? Cams, intakes, exhausts, etc. The 2.2L and 1.8L Subies are cool too.

seems like xcceleration knows what they talking about. now its time to save up money.

Hi, thanks for writing us. We have many parts for the 2006 2.5i. We are able to provide you with a short ram intake and complete exhaust system. We do not recommend a cai because they run dirty, get wet, have poor throttle response and make less power than the short rams. We stopped offering the cai over 3 years because of short ram being that much better.

Mods would be as follows:

Short ram $230
Header, either unequal length ($430) or equal length ($999) for greater power
Performance cat $500
Catback $580
Performance crank pulley $170
Performance grounding kit $160

Performance heads and cams for big power
Performance piggyback chip

Just let me know your questions, but there are many mods for your car, engine, tranny, suspension, brakes. Have a look at MY99 RS
www.Xcceleration/imp-gallery-rs.htm and we can give your car plenty of power as a non-turbo, or even as a turbo.

Hope this helps.

Best to you,
Sam

I still prefer the CAI, but I guess ill have to read up some more and see how it goes.

dont do them black. do it gun metal or anthracite, you need a little bit more contrast then it would like sick.

In my opinion, i think a black car with GOLD rims would look sick
But that's just me :P

A bronze or gun metal scheme for your rims would look nice too.
I don't know about black rims though, unles you want your entire car to be black. Do you want it to stand out more? ie: Yellow , white , red etc . . .
or do you want to be a "sleeper" type and lurk around in the dark and ppl driving at night will go :

"Where'd that black impreza go!? IT"S GONE!" hahah j/k j/k.
I wouldn't mind black rims, but depends HOW it's painted on. Gloss , metallic, flat . . . etc . . . you get the jit of it.

Oh btw, good luck on the clear cornering of your headlamps. Looking forward to see those in action! I also wanna get rid of that orange side light, but don't have the time . . . . for now :P

I spoke with someone at xcceleration... this guy is convinced that we can get our cars as fast as the STI with the parts he has available. lol.

well he said the short ram is under-estimated and that it will provide a lot of power. he also said theyve put them on a bunch of 06 2.5i's already.

he said to do the ram intake, exhaust, header and then do the piggyback later.

haha sti? ma ***.. u can make anything faster than an sti but with that kinda money you might as well buy the sti.

what exactly is that piggy back going to do? better fueling and timing? sounds like what we already have with the variable timing that squeezes out that extra 5hp.

I agree. Its a nice thought and some of us do it, but it is just not worth it.

yea i agree... it would take a lot of $$$ to get our cars that fast.

with the piggyback they tune your car so it gets a lot of extra HP... but first u gotta buy the regular goods

looks like the Eibach Pro-Kits are the best option from what I've read. The Whitelines only give a 1" drop.

Nope Pro Drives or Swift are the way to go, for clean drop. Both claim to work fine with stock struts ~ but would suggest KYB GR-2's or AGX to take away some the bounce with a little more compression control.

Atlast!!!!!!!! A CAI for our year... only requires slight modification.

Read this thread: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=941493

the 05 Injen CAI will work ... "all you need is like 2 feet of 3/8 radiator hose, a T connector and some clamps to tighten around the hose"

Do you plan on approaching that procedure suba?
it'd be an experimental idea!
