06 2.5i engine management
Hi, I hav a 06 impreza 2.5i , and i modified quite a few things and now, i am looking to reflash my stock ecu. Do Ecutek has something that reflash the 2.5i ECU? Or are there any other better solutions? Thank you
from what i here Unichip (unchip.us) is sopose to be really good, and undetectable but you'd have to buy a raw setup and then get someone to tune it for you as they don't have anything pretuned for us. rallitek.com sells a powerpefect6 for our cars as well so that might be another option ?

thats the website for the ECU from rallitek.com. They sell them in 3 stages depending how modified your car is. For an extra 200 bucks you can buy an adapater so you can actually just plug in the new ecu without wiring or going to a mechanic and its done.
It adds 8-12 whp.

Or is it, after all 3 stages, you recieve an extra 8 -12 whp?
from what i gathered from the rallitek site is that you can have 2 maps (prob one for power the other for econ) and you can select from one of 3 preset stage maps, so if you plan on doing everything to get to stage 3 then you should do that first and then get the ecu. I'm not sure, but I'd think you'd get alot more then 8-12 for a stage 3 tune, Tho I think i'm going to take mine to a stage 3 lvl (assuming when i have the cash i can find some cam's for our MY06's) and then go to a shop that tunes AWD cars and have it done specificly for the car, would cost more, but prob worth it.

i read somewhere the PP7 actually works real well with the 2.5i but they just havent had any 2.5i's in the shop to map it out. anybody have any updates on that?

if you have stage 2 it will give you extra 8-12whp from stock ECU. Of course though if you have stage two you should get maximum effect from your exhaust and intake so overall i think you'll get even more power out of your car. i'm gonna order mine later this week.
do you think its worth buying the adaptor? or just getting the mechanic to screw around with the wires?
