Hey guys. I just got a 2002 RS and I'm noticing that when I start it in the morning, the first time I pull out of my parking spot it hesitates a little. Eventually it will smooth out, but that initial hesitation has me a bit worried. It's bone stock except for a K&N drop in filter. It's still under warranty. Should I take it to the dealer? What do I tell them? Will they look at it for free? Any help here is appreciated. Thanks!

 

I would take it in if it was my car, I have a '03 RS and it made a funny noise right when I started up and later on that day my radiator hose collapsed and the water temp increased incredibley...Not saying that is what happened with your car, but just in case ask the dealership, if they turn you away, Can't you sue them? :P good luck

 

Thanks for the advice guys, I'm taking it in tomorrow. Good thing I got an extended warranty in case something happens in the future.

 

'02 RS and the same here early in the morning it acts a little funny...moreso in the tranny not wanting to go into 1st or Rev. gears without a little clutch or throttle tweaking. I've noticed if I let out on the clutch and then try again it goes easier....but that might be mine. It has gotten better as the transmission has been broken in....mines got 19,000 or so miles now.

 

Well, I took my car over to Jim Reed the other day and they reset the computer for free under warranty. Now it runs like a friggin' top. Take yours down there and try it.

 

I think my warranty is a bit voided by my mods....and I've reset the ECU several times on my own as I added new parts.....Nashville eh?....what area? what color is your RS.... mines the loud White one usually in the Nolensville Rd....fairgrounds area.

 

I live in Antioch, by the mall. I don't get out to Nolensville Rd much. Only when I hit up Phonoluxe. My RS is black, with black dark tinted windows. I haven't seen yours. In fact, I've NEVER seen a white RS.
