I notice that a lot of people have questions about what mod is best for their car and what is not. from the experience of many of people on here, we should have a list of what is good and what is bad (waste of time and money). example:
- BOV thought it was cool for the sound but sold it because I had no gain and lost power.
- CAI planning to buy one, but heard they do not add any power unless the car is tune for it.
If you guys can input more that would be awesome. This way all the noob (like myself) can learn more about our car.

CAI is also bad because if designed poorly it'll cause too much turbulence and the MAF wont get the correct reading.
I can't talk too much **** though, when I got my car I wanted a CAI and flowmaster :RockOn - not mine:

If you run a 50/50 BOV you should not have problems as long as its a good one.
everything else you can add to the engine needs to be tuned subarus are ultra sensative to mods such as air intakes etc.
light weight crank pully is a good bolt on and you can actually feel it.
header, up pipe, down pipe, cat back all good mods but yet should be tuned after added.

To hell with the BOV. Unless you're running higher than 20psig. You don't need one. If you must have one 100% recirc.(period) If you want the sound with some performance gains, SPT intake is a great piece at a great price. The BPV sound is great the turbo screams, CARB certified, maintains factory warranty. It's good stuff.
i have the spt intake and love it, i think shifter bushings are great to they are cheap and make shifts feel alot better. and whiteline subframe lock bolts, they help alot and are really cheap.

FMIC-if you are pushing close or over 400 hp then it is worth the mod. Stock STi TMIC can handle up to 390 hp. I learned that today from SOA northern Cali rep. He could be wrong, but he knows his sh*t when I was picking his brain today.

light weight crank pulley = crank walk.
yes, u may feel like it improves acceleration, but when u take the harmonic balancer off an engine that uses one, bad **** happens!
