I have a lightweight underdriven pulley and couldn't tell the difference. The claimed power gain is so small that you'd feel a bigger difference driving on a chilly night (cold ambient temperature vs daytime temperature). You can usually find lightweight pulleys with stock diameter or underdriven.

Don't get an underdrive pulley if you have a high-powered sound system because the reduced diameter pulley doesn't spin the alternator fast enough at idle to keep the battery at optimum charging voltage. It's fine at anything above idle speed, though.

I heard it does make the car Rev quicker, but not 100% on that.

IMO Probably not one of the first MODs I would get though

Ive done lots of power mods to my old wrx and my current STi but never done the lightweight pulley. I did lots of research in the past and concluded it wouldn't be worth the money as I'm satisfied with the way the car revs.

Got the CobbTuning lightweight pulley on my STi, not only is it much lighter compared to the stock one, but i notice my RPM gauge climbs up faster

definitely agree with getting a new flywheel and clutch when it's time but I'd rather save my money for somthing else rather than buying a pulley.
