Question will the turbo inlet 3" benifit (or support the mod) from 18g turbo 06 wrx

Im getting my turbo set up soon. (fp18g 8cm) would any body know if the perrin turbo inlet (3") will make a difference with this upgrade? if not ill just leave it stock, would this be a good supporting mod? pls help, i bought this turbo inlet brand new. i dont like to put this to waiste!

the inlet by itself will have minimal gains. the thing with 3" inlets is that in order to make them fit, you have to remove the tgv's, which is the source of most of the gains. unless you're planning on doing tgv deletes, sell it.

^^^^Not true. I just installed the 3 inch APS turbo inlet pipe to benefit my turbo upgrade on my STi and you do not remove the tgv assemblies, you can keep them! A good alternative if you don't want to get tumbler deletes is a set of spacers that you install between the tgv's and the cylinder head to cool down the air circulating through the tgv's before it goes into the cylinders, there like $40. Dude is right though, inlet tube/pipe will only provide minimal gains, the way I see it is that if your spending the $$ on an upgraded turbo you might as well do everything you can to maximize the power output of that turbo.
