hey all.. this is my first post. I just recieved my 14' sti and it currently has 800 miles. It is stock. Recently, I noticed a weird whistling sound... almost like the air vents are turned on or something at idle. my vents are turned off and recirculating... Is this normal? or should i take it into the dealership... thanks for any input you guys have.

 

Don't know what you are hearing but everything sounds normal to me. I even listened to it a few times. If you feel it gets worse just take it by the dealership. That's what they give you a warranty for, but it's sounds fine. Welcome to the forum though!

yea i don't hear anything outta the norm.

 

I don't think my phone is picking it up. It basically sounds like air is being pushed through the vents but they aren't turned on.

 

Exact same as the 2011-13. Only difference is a little application in the navi called AHA

 

i believe this is normal, my 13 wrx does the same thing and its at 22k mileage... if you listen closely when youre driving, you can also hear it

 

All Subarus make weird sounds. There a flat 4. Drive her till she don't move then use warranty
