I order my spark plugs from the Canadian firm clubplug.net. They list the BKR7E for $2.00 U.S., each.

Wow, thats pretty cheap for 20 of those spark plugs. And they are one step colder than stock.

I have found that gapping closer to .028"-.029" yeilds the most trouble free operation....

The funky thing about finding STi replacement plugs is the thread reach. The ILFR6G plugs are 26.5mm. The WRX plugs are 19mm. NGK does not make a cooler plug with a 26.5mm thread reach.

Okay I'm having trouble finding these plugs. I want the copper NGK's, but I cannot find BKR7E (6097). When I ask at the parts store for the BKR7E (6097), they tell me that the 6097 matches up BKR7ES-11s.

WRX plugs are not the same as STi plugs. Let's not confuse anyone any more than we already have.

Okay, but these plugs, work and everyone it seems is using them. Do I need to get different plugs, or with these work Safely?

As I said, I think the issue was getting confused - several of the posters in this thread own WRX's. I don't see how the plugs you bought will work based on the pics you posted in the linked thread - the tip of the spark plug won't be in the combustion chamber (all the way). If someone else has installed the shorter plugs in an STi without problems, I'll stand corrected. But personally, I would just get the recommended STi plugs (NGK ILFR6B) and take comfort in knowing there won't be any problems.
