The stock ones are just fine.

I'm 80% sure they are "colder range Iridium Spark plugs". I'll try and find the SOA press release I read that said that.

I think the stock plugs on an STI and WRX are platinum not irridium. When I installed my STG4+ I swapped out to a set of Irridium 1 step colder.

I'm not trying to start any thing but this says "Iridium tipped"

http://usdmsti.com/photos/SalesTraining/sti4.jpg <---It's from SOA so there's a 80% chance it's wrong.

as I've said before, .... using the "-11" plugs is Not the best idea. the "11" stands for the gap that the plugs come in, ... which is .044", or 1.1mm.
As per NGK techs and other sources, you should Never close a gap more than .008 or so. SO with the "11's" you are closing the gap over .015!! About Double the maximum recommended. This can cause irregular spark, causing poor/unreliable performance, fouling, slight misfires, etc.

The NGK copper plug you should use is BKR7E (6097), ... which comes gapped to ~.030~.032".

Don't take my word for it though, you may call the NGK tech line @ 1-877-473-6767.

Cheers
Sean

I just checked the stock plugs I took out when I swapped to Irridium. They are NGK Platinum plugs.

No one ever said the WRX came with irridium, .... just the STi ...... notice how you're in the STi Powerplant -- EJ25T forum .....
