VF22 without supporting mods?
Since my stock turbo is basically junk, I need a new turbo. Another VF29 is not really a good option. A VF34 would also need to be ported (and is out of stock at Deadbolt until the end of May).
I was wondering if I could use a VF22 without supporting mods (injectors, pump, IC). I have TB exhaust and AP stg 2. Could/would Cobb send me a map that would work with the VF22? Is this even worth considering? My problem is, this car is my daily driver and I need to get it back in service. Money is a MAJOR issue. I just don't have the money for supporting mods.
This problem came about when I sent my VF39 to Deadbolt for porting (bad boost creep issues) and they found a crack in the turbine housing.
Any thoughts?

If money is an issue, I would suggest finding a used VF39 from one of the many STi owners who have upgraded their turbos.
