Uppipe on a STi?

is an uppipe really needed on a STi..

isnt the STi already catless and would just cause problems with the uppipe installed

Yes that is correct. The STI u-pipe does not have a Cat. People buy aftermarket u-pipes to get rid of the cat that is in there.
Stick with what you have. OEM is the best fit!
