Well i had a little set back over the weekend. I wanted to try a different way of doing the uppipe that didnt end up working out. So I had to design a new one. I finally got the new one designed, and then went on to replicate it to make sure all my dimensions were correct before i moved on. As always I ended up having an "issue" with the cuts on the elbows. I ended up not following the bend radius on the original elbows so that when I reproduced the piece for the second uppipe and put it together, everything was off by just a little. So I now have a final piece with all the correct dimensions and "properly cut elbows that follow the bend radius and easy to replicate, and is spot on perfect alignment. So here's the pics of what the final piece will look like. It looks like the rest but that last bend that leads to the turbo is further down allowing for a longer straight transition to the turbo. Which will also give a nice place to mount the wastegate. On to the pics.

heres the uppipe fully welded, i back purged the whole thing, so the welds are clean and strong. Tomorrow i should have the external wastegate welded on and finished. Then its intercooler time.

Here's some wastegate placement pictures. Designed it like a collector so both the turbo and the wastegate get a smooth exhaust flow. I've always hated the 90* degree tee-off for the wastegate that most people do. Im still undecided on the reroute but the one pic is what it probably be like but with a bellow installed in the middle of the reroute to compensate for metal expansion due to the heat to avoid cracking and having a small amount of adjustability for r&r.

16g is what everything else is pretty much made out of. Only full race and i think ultimate racing use thicker tubing/or techincally pipe for the uppipes. all the perrin stuff/gtspec/grimmspeed/etc.... use 16gauge for uppipes/headers, its a .065 wall tubing. And i will be doing production on this pending tuning and performance outcome. If everything does well it will be produced. I've already got the preliminary programming done with quotes for it.
