turbo back or cat

so i want my subie to get the best exhaust flow possible and i know that running cat less is the way to do that but it is also illegal. but i dont really have much of a problem breaking the law if theres the good chance i can get away with it. what i was planning on doing was using a down pipe with a cat when i get it checked and switch it out with the cat-less pipe right when i pass emissions. what i wanna know is if it will make a notable difference in the sound/decibles. will it pass a pork-chopper's db test? and if it wont would they give you a fix it ticket, a fine, a stern talkin to, or what? i get

i get dumb ditty doo doo
off tha hash oil goopty goo
take a straight supa phat rip
then pass tha isht round to you too
i get hyphy
none like me
if my rhyms was a vollie ball
youd be gettin spiked G
nearly repeatedly
for thinking of defeating me

The only thing you would have to worry about is the smog. Since you won't pass visual or the sniffer, unless you got the "Hook Up"

well that would be the point of the switchable downpipe ill have one that is catted for the smog test and then another one for when my vehical isnt under inspection. is there some type of way they can tell you've been running catless even if you go in with a catback exhaust

Best bet is to keep yor stock DP around for the biannual smog.

even if you have a aftermarket catted dp its still not smog legal.

Exactly, go full turbo back no cat. Keep the stock DP for smog. A catted dp is still not legal for smog (most of them). Unless it has 50 state cats, the original number of cats, and they are in the same location you're technically illegal. And even then, any "modified" exhaust is illegal so you could still get busted.
