trouble with turboxs bov

I put a turbo xs rfl type h on my 06 wrx, and its running good and blowing off, but it stalls more than it should, without any clutch mistakes, the engine isnt idleing right, it came with adjustable washers, if anybody has one on there wrx, how many washers did you put in and how did it work?

yeah it sounds cool and all, but the car will run like crap. ANd the car is slower with the BOV on . its kinda lame. I'm faster with the stock recir and get better MPG. LOL.

I have had two sti s an 05 and now an 06. Ive ran the hks bov , and the turbo xs blow off valve. Ive never had a problem with my car ideling wierd or anything. I m running the type h right now with no problem. The only thing I can think of is to make sure all your fittings are tight and make sure there is no leaks.

All you guys who have BOV as your fist mod and never planing to run over 20 psi .... should put the flame suits on.

becaust getting aftermarket bov that is atmospheric is just plain DUMB. It will detune your car and you will have very crappy time beetween the shifts.

dont belive me? drive for couple thousand miles with your Aftermarket BOV and then Change back to stock and SEE and FEEL how Smooth your car will be between the shifts.

Car Info: 2002 WRX faster then your 07 STI
I had the RFL as my 1st mod. It was great to hear the sound of air popping like a 18 wheeler.

My 2nd mod was to add soy sauce and it was an amazing taste.

So then a BOV gives you Negative HP! Theres nothing positive.... Why buy a fast car if your going to detune it?

Would you buy a ferrari and take a dump in it?

Above is the problem with most forums... no one answers the question at hand.

Just follow TXS instructions (If I remember it is WRX gets 5 to 6 washers, while the STI gets 4 to 5???) something along those lines.

Yes, you will not get more HP and if you are stock you should just leave the stock BOV on, but to everyone has different outlooks on what they want from their car.

My car ran fine with the TXS BOV... but I was running 20.5 psi at the time. So that might make the dif (the stock one would not hold the boost)
