In search of new motor, any Ideas??

So, Subaru wont fix the crap motor they put in my car, so I am left with a motor that probably wont last more than a few thousand miles.

More info in the previous thread here:
https://www.i-club.com/forums/bay-area-15/going-back-santa-cruz-60-time-210892/

So I am looking for options to replace the motor. I dont need massive horsepower, but wouldn't mind an increase over stock. Around 350hp would be perfect.

Dont know if I need to change my heads, but probably need a rebuild.

I got a new turbo out of subaru about 6,000 miles ago, so that should be fine for a while.

Post links, ideas, comments. Just Looking for a little collective knowledge here! Thanks!

I dunno, LIC have got their thing with Quirt, big ups to them. I don't trust him. He's not a stand up guy. WRX2NV has got a freshly built block ready to go. PM him. There's little chance of having any problems with GST, LIC, dB. If you go to LIC, just have Adam put your ish together do let it come assembled from Crowford shop.

~$4000 gets you forged pistons, new bearings, cleaned/insepected heads, etc.
And that's installed.
Less than installing an OEM block.

You posted this on the wrong forum. I call this site subaru off-topic. And btw if you posted this thread on Nasioc, iwsti, etc you would probably get flamed for asking such a dumb question and not doing some research yourself.

Word. I still got some time too... Just waiting for the motor to scatter. I hope it does in a spectacular way!

Who the hell do you think you are. I know the places that are doing the best work on subies, I was just hoping that there might be some inside info. Been driving subaru since before they were cool. Had a 99 impreza thank you. Wanna come down to Monterey and I'll show you whats up. Even with my shot motor.

And if you want a good built engine you can't go wrong with Ed and the team at EQ tuning lol
