Hey Guys. I'm just about to role over the break in period on my STI. I'm probably going to run it soon. Just wondering what would be a good RPM setting for the REV? I'll probably rely on that more than the sound of the engine between shifts. I've never ran a drag race before so I don't want the rpm's to go to high to where it could do some damage. Any help would be great.

dude just go for it!!!!! i've red lined my sti many times and have had no problems! i ran it at the track with only 500 mlies on it and guys were telling me it would void my warranty but once again i've had no problems.a long as you maintain your car and warm it up well before you push it all should go well. let me know how you do at the track. my best so far 13.04@105.good luck and have fun!:banana: :banana:

Cool. I guess I'll do that. Have you used that rev **** feature? It looks pretty cool, race car type stuff. If so, what have you set it at?

Im not familiar with a "rev ****." What is it? Could you elaborate?

I think what he's refering to is the shift light and alert located in the STi's stock gauge cluster...

not only that but get familiar w/ how the engine puts down its power. some times engines make more power right before redline than at or after red line. your best numbers might come by shifting right before redline.
