Part of the rumor was the news that Prodrive blew up like 100 of them in development. What nobody mentioned, however, was the hellacious amounts of power being made. What's more telling to me are the dyno results of the modded STis around, and no news of anybody blowing one up yet.

Actually, with just a turboback and Xede, both the stock turbo and injectors seem to be reaching their limits. Stage II for the STi is going to include a turbo and injectors. Right now, nobody seems to have larger injectors for the STi in the states, so that's one thing holding Shiv up. (By the way, I no longer work at Vishnu.) Once the injector issue is resolved, development will start on new piping for the STi and a turbo, probably a GT3037 like the one on Shiv's Evo, which you can read about in the BAIC forum.

Why the hell would he use a 3037 on the STi? It's gonna be way too small.

It's a purpose built engine, it's more reliable than the EVO's engine i'm sure.

I disagree. With the STi's lower redline and larger displacement, you can get the same amount of torque from the 3037, just at a lower RPM and with less lag. It's still a 500hp turbo anyway you slice it up and paste it to an engine.

The Xede is available now. There just won't be any plug and play harnesses for a while (meaning one has to splice 5 wires... it's not hard) because nobody knows where to get the right connectors for the STi ECU.
