Questions/Complaints about Greddy's EVO2...
Three questions/complaints...
1) If you currently have the EVO or EVO2 on your STi, how does tip fit with respect to the rear bumper (is it too close? Just enough space? Sticks out too much? Falls short?) Also, is the piping rubbing or touching the rear suspension in any way? Do you hear rubbing and weird noises after you installed the exhaust? I have read many problems with the EVO with the tip being too close to the rear bumper and burning it or with the piping rubbing on the rear suspension... thanks.
2) I don't understand... if a manufacturer develops a specific exhaust for a specific car and they say its a "bolt-on installation", then why the hell does the exhaust not fit perfectly? If the EVO2 with the right part # was designed for the STi, then why do people encounter sooooo many damn problems when they install it?
3) I want a new exhaust for my STi and I thought of the EVO2, but depending on what people say on the previous 2 questions I might decide to get it or not. I don't want to spend money on an exhaust that is going to give me more headaches than pleasure. In the case that I don't get it, what are my other options if I want my exhaust to be straight (not angled), the tip to be just at the margin of the bumper or sticking out a bit (not falling short), and not too crazy loud?... I also want the canister/muffler to look nice, not ricey like tanabe and stuff. Suggestions? Thanks!

Haha ricey!
Man I have a Tanabe and the thing I like the most about it, other than its really nice, deep rumble, is the fact that it fits properly.
It can use the Kartboy short hangers, unlike many exhausts I've seen, including the EVO.
you will most likely have to use the longer hangers, and your exhaust will hang much lower.
I'd recommend the Borla Hush with a single tip instead of the twin-tip, it fits ok, flows, and isn't too loud, making it a good comparison to the EVO.
