OIL Leak

Ok first let me just say i have used the Search button.. i have a small oil leak coming from the banjo bolt on the oil feed of the turbo... leaks very slow until the car is under boost, i cant figure out why its leaking, oil feed line,crush washers,and turbo were replaced about 4 months ago by dealer..banjo bolt was the only part that was not replaced..any info will help thanks... oh the car is not under warranty anymore so i'm out of luck..

The car is 2005 STI car is pretty much stock.. just catback and Perrin turbo inlet..

well 4 months ago they did the work, why not go back and ask them.

+1, whether or not the car is under warranty, their work and those new parts are. Unfortunately, the parts probably still are, but not the labor, if it was their fault.

I called the Dealer arleady they said im out of luck because my other warranty i have cover it not them.. so i have to take it up with them. i think they are giving me the run around..great

Yeah, had the same kind of thing with my extended warranty too. I ended up footing the bill for something that I felt should have been covered and I argued with them and got nowhere.

Sounds like the dealer is hoping you will just drop it, but their receipt should have the info on it regarding this - if they did warranty work and did it wrong it is THEIR fault and that has nothing to do with the warranty.

yeah well I still fighting them on it.. i have the new banjo bolt just ready to say F..k it and put it in myself.. you dont use teflon tape on the bolt right?? i need to get it running asap its my daily and i already miss work today cuz of no ride..

No, I don't think you would use tape on a banjo; it usually will have either special washers or gaskets.
