odd thing that I knoticed
Hello all,
I knoticed this past weekend I was at the dealership and knoticed that the SMOG rating on the STI and the FXT is ~1.0 and My baja has a rating of ~1.5 . From the research that I have done, i would asume the rating on the STI should be higher than the FXT and Baja T. The biggest things that are different are as follows:
STI:
- Bigger turbo
- bigger TMIC
- Higer performance Internals
- Tuned for performance
- etc...
FXT:
- doesn't have sodium filled exhust valves (not 100% verified)
- Smaller Turbo than STI
- Smaller TMIC than STI
- Tuned for lower end torque
Baja T:
- has Sodium Filled Exhust valves
- Same Turbo as FXT
- Same TMIC as FXT
- Tuned for lower end torque
These are just a snipet from what I can recall on the differances. Please let me know what you all think. I just though it was odd that the Baja T was that different and couldn't for the life of me figure out why. They pritty mutch have the same engin, but differ in not too many ways. Espically between the FXT and Baja T. The only think that I have found (mechanically) different betwen the 2 is the sodium filled exhust valves, all the offical documentation for the FXT doesn't mention it and it is on the Baja T's documentation.
Thank You,
Ben
