no intake. but better filter

do you think this is a good alternate idea?? its a HOG filter $50. Looks exactly like a K & N Filter. Though I got mines for $6 cuz i switched boxes hahaha?

My answer to intake question is this. Remove the air silencer, drop in a K&N panel filter and replace the rubber intake pipe with a Samco silicone intake charge pipe($89) it looks great too they come in red, blue, and black. It's a cheap answer to upgrading your intake system without sacrificing power or catching hell from other i-club members, even mention the word intake around here you will really open a can of worms. Oh yeah, what kind of car do you have?

I just looked at their website and it said their filters need to be oiled.

Try to stay away from oiled filters, as they can cause problems with your MAF sensor.
Look at ones like the HKS or OEM STI.

Also yes, the 'snorkus' is a good thing to do also.

If you still are a non-believer and are going K&N anyway. I have a K&N with about 4K miles on it with half a charge kit left I will sell...

I am running HKS (dry foam) and very happy with the results!

You also should look at the Amsoil Ea air filters...It is also a dry filter.
