new to the sti

im new to i-club and im new to the Sti.. i know its a noob question.. but what would the first basic mods that might improve the performance be? and also.. what brand are the carbon fiber front lips for the sti? thanks

That depends on how much $ you want to spend. Start with a catback exhaust and a good downpipe or If you can afford it go with a full turboback. BOV is a good cheap mod to start with, but it does nothing for performance.

well im thinking just something around 800 dollars? how about an ecu reflash? would that help more or a exhaust? Are there any 05 sti reflashes available? what would be the best ECU reflash to get for the 05 sti?

The ECutek runs about $1000. If I were you I would go with a good catback first then I would get an Accessport by Cobb. If you get a turboback and the AP, You are at the stage 2 setup running around 360 at the crank.

Ecutek reflashes are in the $750-$800 range from most vendors. It is a good place to start, but if you intend to do a full 3" Turboback exhaust, I would suggest saving up and doing the exhaust and reflash at the same time.

This is the best way .....get a used bosal dp cost about 150 and a bosal cat delete pipe about 130= a turboback exhaust no cats, then tune with ecutek should cost about 1000 without install for parts. With just the dp and tuning I made 280 awhp and 293 awtrq.
