Need help. Car overheating (codes)

So I bought an 06 wrx all stock beside the radiator. It ran fine at first but it started overheating. It went up to about 3/4 on the temp gauge. So I decided to do a coolant flush. I flushed the system and the coolant was super dirty. I put new coolant in the system and I started to burp the system. All it did was pour massive amounts of coolant from the top reservoir tank (near turbo). The fans turned on but it did not suck any coolant from the main reservoir tank. At first I thought it was the thermostat so I took it off and it still overheated. Also it started smoking from the top reservoir tank ( don't know if its normal). Then my check engine light turned on and the cruise light started flashing. I pulled the codes p0483(control fan rationality) and p0457(Evap emission control system leak cap loose/off. Now I'm thinking it might be my water pump. Or I'm dreading head gasket but I have no coolant in oil or oil in coolant nor white smoke from exhaust. Any ideas?

I'm assuming many have read your problem and are stumped... If you say there's no smoke from the exhaust and your oil is fine I'd say water pump sounds like as good a guess as any. How many miles are on your car?

Sounds random but have you pressure tested your radiator?
