modification to run E85
Hello gearheads,
I was wondering what it would take, or even if it's possible, to mod my '06 stock impreza to run on E85. I'm a little bit of an enviro-nut, and would have bought one of the saab turbocharged cars that run on E85 if there were any stations in my part at the time. A few have sprung up now, and I figured it'd be best to ask the experts in these parts what it would take (parts and cost)
Are we talking $500, or closer to $5,000?
A few new parts, or major engine overhaul?
Relatively same performance, or massive downgrade?
I'm not really concerned about the overall cost-analysis... I'm sure it'll cost far more to mod than I'll ever save at the gas pump. Just a little curious, that's all
BTW, it should be noted this is a 173 hp impreza, not a turbo
thanks to all in advance
SN
