WRX modification question....
I have an odd question and am embarassing ignorant when it comes to the inner workings of cars, so please bear with me
I was thinking of getting my wife a WRX (we've been very happy w/our Outback Sport), but she does not drive stick, and since we live in the LA area, does not want to learn (what with the traffic and all)
This brings my question....
Does anyone have any suggestions on giving the an automatic WRX a little more oomph off the line? On the freeway it is great, but in the stop and go of SoCal life, it actually felt a little sluggish by comparison to its agility when the turbo kicks in (I assume it is the turbo doing that).
I've seen lots of posts about WRX modifications (exhaust, pulleys, etc.), but all of these folk (of course) seem to drive stick.
What mods do y'all suggest that are compatible with an automatic WRX? (I'd prefer to stay short of chipping if possible...)
Thanks in advance for any help....
