I'd recommend the cobb intake (its plastic so it wont heat soak as bad) but if you have a problem with cops in the area go with the spt because its carb legal. I think with the CAI he meant short ram since the the Typhoon's a short ram.

I'm in Florida so we really don't get much hassle from the law enforcement for anything but an overbearingly loud exhaust. That's reserved for the Civics and Integras in my area though.

I'll look into the Cobb intake. Right now I'm looking at reviews on the Moto-GP Elbow, removing my silencer and dropping in a Green Filter.
