Currently The Engine Light is on and Cruise Control is blinking. OBDII check and system code says Running Rich. I know bad. But I like the sound. Faster Spool up. Stock set-up is so complicated you get nothing out of it. SOMEONE GIVE ME THE CONS?

Now there may be a couple more that I don't know, but those three are safe ones to run if you want to use one. I should be recieving my spt intake w/ heat shield in a couple of days. I'll let you know what I think. I know it will not add a lot of power but any is better than nothing and being a big fan of ps2's gt 4 so I like the sound it will make.
Stick with SPT or Cobb. mixed reviews on the K&N. I have the SPT and have noticed 2 things:
1) smoothed out the notchy acceleration I was experiencing in my 06 Wagon.
2) Great bpv sound.

I got the SPT intake w/ heat shield today and installed it. It did made difference on hp and tq especially combined with light weight crank pulley that I installed yesterday. The car did hesitate when stepped on the pedal right after starting the car, but after letting it warm up while I checked the clamps and for leaks the hesitation started to go away (probably b/c th ECM is adpting). After driving the car I could tell the ECM is relearning but the more a drove the car the better it felt. The sound is great too. I would recomend the intake to anyone... More power, smoother through the rpms, and better sound, no CELs, whats not to like.

Used the APS with no tune and it worked just fine with no downsides. Added a little power, mostly do to increased boost. Odd that that one intake gave you problems. Must have been improperly sized.
I just installed the SPT intake and i found that when i went for a test drive the car would bog down heavily on the top end 6-7k rpm. Is this what you experienced when you first installed it? I checked it over a few times to make sure i didn't forget something but it was fine.
