I'm LEAKING...

Ok, I know I been going on about the trans and 3rd gear...today after driving around and then washing it...I found that its LEAKING. I found it in the garage before I drove the car in. Its a small puddle near the front and it is a clear almost pink oil. I was thinking power steering.

Actually what I was asking is are there any other fulids that it could be other than Power Steering? This is my first STi. I will take a closer look in the morning. Thanks.

Have you put the car up on jackstands to take a look underneath? If it's pink, that rules out engine oil or radiator coolant. The power steering pump is driven off the front of the engine so it should be relatively easy to spot if the leak originates at the pump or one of the hoses.

If in doubt let the dealer look at it under warranty.

I took it to the dealer and they showed me where it was leaking. I was right it was power steering, but they didn't have the part and sent me home. They will call when they get it, but I hope the small fitting was it. Thanks for the replys.

yeah my PS has leaked since I installed new rack bushings, I've had to order a new harline since you cant just replace the end fittings since their held on by flared ends.

FWIW my PS pump has been really noisy since new, and is starting to seize up.

I have to get it in the dealer soon...
