ok so here is the scoop, i took my car(07 sti) to livermore subaru this morning for an oil change. here is what i have on the car, 21,000.00 miles, helix catted downpipe, custom stromung exhaust (3 inch), blitz cold air box, hallman mbc, and a stage 2 roadtune by ed@eqtuning. well after the oil change i went to get on the freeway and noticed the car seem different. i noticed the boost gauge was saying i was in full boost when i was on the gas but the car seem to accelerate slowly, i backed off until i got close to home, thinking maybe it's just me. but when i got home i hooked up the access port and it read 17.9lbs at wot, i talk to ed and he said that was low for my tune. i cant explain it, when i go wot the boost gauge reads full boost , and i can hear the turbo spool and the bpv let out the air,and no smoke, no check engine lights, just hardly no acceleration. almost like its getting wastegate boost only, so any suggestions guys, i know you will probaly say check the hoses, they seem ok, but if the 90 degree elbow is torn will it cause this ?

if all they were doing is an oil change they shouldnt have touched anything which could cause this. Did you check your oil since they chenged it? Hopefully they filled it appropriately with correct oil and remembered to put on the oil filter and you dont have oil all over your motor. If it's an Ed tune then you are probably on a Hallman Manual Boost Controller. It is possible that some douche lowered your boost while it was in there but i wouldn't alter that unless you realllly know what you are doing. Time to go see Ed

ya i already made the appointment with ed for thursday, do u think the turbo is going out, if it is the motor, wont i see some smoke or knocking of some sort? by the way the oil seems to be at the right level and there's no oil on the motor, its pretty wierd, but the tech seem a little scared when i ask ed if everything ok with the car, he probaly f-ed it up some how!

I'm just not sure how you could eff up a car by doing an oil change. Confirm which flavor of oil he put in. Weight/brand...etc etc..
It sounds like there is a piece of the puzzle missing. When spooled do you notice any sound difference at all? Are you burning more/less gas since the symptoms started? Have you used different gas since oil change?

burning more gas and lower boost. Maybe you are burning more gas cause of heavier throttle due to lower boost? Maybe the suby tech didnt know what the mbc was and dialed it? Try not to drive it until you get in to see Ed. don't WOT it at all and good luck brotha.
