turbo question

it the turbo on the WRX oil cooled or air cooled?

The factory turbo on all recent Subaru models is water-cooled by engine coolant and both cooled and lubricated by engine oil. There is no forced air that flows past the turbo but there is a series of slots built into the hood scoop splitter plate that serves to allow some of the hot air to vent when the engine is shut off.
