DIY Water Cooled PS2
DIY Water Cooled PS2
story: (during the summer) remember Grand Turismo had those long endurance races? well GT4 added an "auto pilot" mode and two 24 hour races. so i said hell no to playing a 24 hour race straight. so i set it to auto pilot overnight and such. i was scared of my ps2 will overheat for some reason cause it was brand new so i was bored during the summer and made up this water cooling system
-ps it does help cool the ps2

then couple days later i made stage 2

lol, do they make some sort of temp monitoring software for that thing? I wonder how much of a difference it made... prolly not too much since its not actually touching the chips
maybe lower the case temps? hahaha
sweet deal though

yea i knew the ps2 wont break that easily from overheating, but i was bored during the summer days + why not experiment, im just a kid. i had to do test runs on the water bags btw. i remember waking up and holding a warm bag of water

If you're concerned about heat, I think the fan alone would cool the unit much better than covering them with sealed bags of water. Just like a CPU on a motherboard, airflow over the unit will constantly try to reduce the case temperature to that of the ambient room temperature. All the bags will do is to act as insulation and slow cooling because there is little heat exchange compared to a car's cooling system with airflow through a radiator core.
