HKS BOV n00b question

I now regret not fabricating the stock BOV to the FMIC that I have.

I'm aiming for 25psi, but the intermediate goal is anything above 20. 257 block w/ WRX heads, FP Green, Greddy FM, UTEC boost control w/ abc.

After I get to a certain rpm, the boost just leaks out and my suspicion is that the BOV is either maladjusted or malfunctioning. I am going to play with it tomorrow and see if I can't correct the problem by adjusting the screw, although the original reason I adjusted it in the first place was to get rid of the compressor surge or stall (that crazy fluttering sound).

I'm not seeing anything above 17 psi; tonight at the dragstrip all I was seeing was a peak of 14 psi through 5th gear.

That's all the detail I know for now. I'm pretty novice when it comes to the BOV. I've always been pretty happy with the stock one, only changed because I felt it was the easiest route.

Does this sound like I've identified my problem? No matter how much I raise my boost in my UTEC map, I see no rise in boost. It's like it's all leaking off.

Thanks

Oh shoot. Forgot to check this.

Boost leak is fixed. It wasn't the BOV, it was the silicone piece that connects the ic to the tb.
