Isn't most of our power achieved by about 6500 anyway? Would it even make sense to raise the rev limit to 8000 or 8500 and get stiffer internals and cams? I think it would be cool but I'm not sure it would be worth it. Maybe a custom tune with the built engine would make use of it?

 

only if a larger turbo is added...would i bother with a higher rev limit. that way you get more use out of it (larger power band)

 

Yea I'm only going to be going vf-34.

 

then its not worth it...vf34 runs out of steam around 285-300whp...so if you were going to do cams a set of 264 would be a good combo...but honestly...not worth while to rebuild the whole motor just for 300whp...
keep it stock and simple
if your going to do cams/motor build...go big!

yeah those turbo's almost running out of breath after about 6500...go TD06+ if you want to rev that high and make alotta power
