I personally would go with the injen intake they have a long time rep for there quality, no dought that k&n have been making some of the best filters known to man for ever and a day, Turb xs makes a shorty intake? don't know much about that intake but turbxs make quality parts and they work with subaru part in a big way. Just some ideas hope it helped a little.
Almost forgot check out the perrin cold air intakes!
Oh and Power enterprize too, pe makes the best turbos for subaru so I would imagine that there intakes are just as quality
Good luck

a cold air intake sounds good, looks good, but for the money, the performance is crap. Everyone states that increasing the air flow at the air box will increase performance, but if you save the money and bought some REAL upgrades, you will notice a huge difference. Start with a Vishnu turbo back exhaust, then if you want the fuel to match, get a good engine management system with the proper map. I know that it is a bit pricey, but if you spent the money correctly, you will put out some massive power. I have a 2003 STI and with just the Vishnu turbo back exhaust, I am at 13.2 consistently with no check engine lights, and it will still pass smog. The fit and finish of the Vishnu is superb, and their is no drone at all. Shiv at Vishnu is testing and he releases all of his kits with utmost reliability and performance since he has an in-house-dyno. Air intakes, blow out valves, etc... are a waste of time. If you want to see #'s, buy the Vishnu kits. They are the best value and reliability for the money.

i e-mailed turboimport.com and asked them about the injen CAI and this is what they told me...
as long as you are on the stock turbo and not heavily modified, you
will be
fine.
The WRX is known to be a bit tempermental when it comes to intake kits
due
to the stock computer. Some will make power, and some wont. It just
depends on how the ECU responds to the changes in air flow at the MAF.
The
injen kit has been thoroughly tested for the best results and has seen
dyno
proven gains.
Also, if your only mods are an intake and exhaust, you will not be in
danger
of damaging your engine. The difference in AF at this performance
level is
very minimal and your ECU will be able to make the adjustments needed
for
optimal performance.
i also e-mailed K&N about there CAI and asked both turboimport.com and K&N wether or not the STI's engine would run lean or if this would cause problems.
thats what turboimport told me but K&N has yet to e-mail me back with any info.
