That depends on a lot of other factors.

Hey BANSUVS

I don't know of it was you or someone else that was talking about this or i read it on another thread (sorry for any confusion), but i was wondering don't you think that pushing a VF39 anymore then about 16 or 17 psi is just over spooling the turbo w/ a 2.5 block?? i'll look really hard were i read this or who i was talking to about this. I don't wanna start any rumors so take this strictly as just speculation to anyone that reads this

this might be a bit OT...ok maybe not but...

some people are running 16.5psi with an EBC....question is...
can the stock ECU compensate for the extra boost or are those people running fuel upgrades even tho they say they arent

I would think that the ECU could compensate for that?.. But people run 16 psi on the WRX and i never heard of any problems.

While I'm not running a VF39, I imagine the safest high level for a stock car is ~16 psi. I personally wouldn't do that without a reflash however. The 'engine management is too expensive and I can only afford an MBC/EBC' argument doesn't fly on a $32,000 car.
