Exhaust Leak from Midpipe to Downpipe

I have a small exhaust leak from my midpipe to my downpipe, when I bolt them both on together there is about a 2-3mm gap on the top of the pipes. I was wondering if I should use a product called HondaBond to close up the leak or if I should go to a muffler shop and have them weld it together. I was thinking about welding the 2 pipes together because I was not planning to change out my exhaust sysem again, so it was not too much of a concern to me. do you guys have any other ideas? or what would you guys do?

Thank You!

Yeah, I have the same problem. But I also have a leak at the axle-back and mid-pipe.

I plan on getting just the axle-back to mid-pipe welded though.

Should be easy fix

thats small gap is normal. the midpipe to dp connection uses a donut gasket. if you have an aftermarket exhaust then change out the gasket or just double up on them and it should be ok. otherwise if your not ever gonna change it then torch it.

When I switched to aftermarket Borla, I noticed the donut gasket too. I simply pulled out the gasket from the stock dp end so there was a flat flange that butted up very nicely to the midpipe of the new Borla.
