driving through deep water
I was driving, two nights ago, at about 35 mph until, before I knew what was happening, my car came to an abrupt stop and I had to down shift to first in order to keep from killing the engine. I unknowingly drove my 05 STI through a 2 foot deep puddle for a length of approximately 50 feet or so. The whole car started juddering and there was water freely flowing through the hood scoop as I was treading through.
The first thing I did when I got home was call Subaru service and told them what happened. They told me I probably got water in my muffler and the exhaust was backed up but the car should be able to handle it.
Today I discovered the car has no boost at 3500RPMs. The car is going into Subaru first thing tomorrow.
I want to know if this has happened to anyone else and what other problems I can expect or what I should keep my eyes on.

ok so i did almost the same thing when my car was newer. i was driving in the rain and went through this huge puddle. it was kind of fun but when i hit the end of the puddle my cel was either blinking or on dont remember but i was on my way to the mountain to snowboard. My car would jolt when i drove it over 4000 rpms so i drove for a while under 4000 rpms then i got there turned my car off. Let it sit for a while when i left to go home from snowboarding my car was fine.
