Does 05 STi have a factory oil cooler???
seems to be some mixed information I'm finding on this...
I know the spec c sti comes with an oil cooler but not sure that the 05+ STi comes with one.

Yes there is a ring around your oil filter that ring is cooled by coolant to cool the oil.
Mine is an 04 STi

Not sure check when you change your oil if your filter goes into a metal ring with coolant lines going into it then yes it does...
There is no oil cooler in the '06 WRX sorry guys. Also this is not an easy change if you go factory as the water pump housing has an extra fitting dedicated for use with the oil cooler which is not the same pump as on the wrx. Although there are many cheaper aftermarket alternatives with better results aside from going witht the $1,600 spec c cooler.
