do i need to get my car re-tuned???
do i need to get my car re-tuned???
i just recently bought a car from out of state.
these are the engine mods:
Cobb Access Port V2
protune (310HP/353TQ)
3" Black Perrin turbo inlet hose
3" Invidia Downpipe
3" Perrin Turboback Exhaust
Prodrive Boost Control Soleniod
DC Sports Header
ACT clutch and ACT lite flywheel
Walbro 255 Fuel pump
the car was origionally tuned for 93 octane, here in california we only have 91. so is running 91 going to be a problem seeing as how it was tuned for 93? basically what i am asking is do i need to get my car re-tuned for 91? as far as i know the car seems to be running fine.
my last tank of gas i put in one of those bottles of octane booster, thinking that might help, but i didnt really notice any difference.

contact Ed of EQTuning and he will be able to send you a safe map to use for the 91 octane that you can run until you get tuned by him (which should be done ASAP) although you are pretty much running stage 2 with headers, turbo inlet, and an un-needed larger fuel pump

we don't need to get into one of these threads. The original poster should do his own research on which tuner, the point is though that he should get re-tuned ASAP and try to get a safety map before that for the time being
